Early in 2017, OSPF entered into the lease of a commercial unit to house an orchid propagation laboratory. Its primary purpose was to reproduce native orchid species that were endangered or at risk of extinction.
The project was a collaboration of the OSPF, the Wagner Wetland Society and MacEwan University.
Today, the Orchid Resource Centre also houses space for a library, office, educational programs, board meetings, displays and storage for orchid growing supplies.
